Our Ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and it's packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry support good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with additional valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables are added to our food. Not only are vegetables nutritious, but they also possess other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, aid digestion.

Fruits

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring your dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be beneficial for your dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants grown in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and seaweeds dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size, breed, or breed group of the dog, specific ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific issues can be alleviated through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Bouvier-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Bouvier. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Bouvier belongs. Based on these studies, and in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Bouvier.

Nettle

Nettle is a plant genus that includes the common nettle and the small nettle, both found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore highly suitable for infectious diseases. Its leaves are also useful for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. In addition, it supports bladder function and hair growth in dogs.

Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails, among others. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and helps maintain healthy skin.

At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can contribute positively to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as helping to prevent digestive and/or urinary problems.

Fennel

Fennel is a plant from the parsley family and is recognizable by its anise flavor. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb, and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains plenty of vitamins A and C, and the minerals iron and potassium.

Fennel can be added to our dog food because it can support digestion and counteract bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.

Raspberries

The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberry cultivation dates back to the Middle Ages and it is native to all of Europe.

Raspberries contain many substances that can support your dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.

Raspberry is added to our dog food due to its anti-inflammatory properties and it can contribute positively to the functioning of the immune system. Raspberries can also help maintain eyesight and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you choose between our Bouvier dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Bouvier is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Bouvier older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Bouvier Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

We are confident in the quality of our food. That's why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Bouvier doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we can't resolve it together, we will refund your purchase amount.

Feeding Advice

Body Weight (kg) Daily Amount (g)
20 - 40 315 - 525
40 - 60 525 - 750
> 60 11 g/kg body weight

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Bouvier dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the container, but to place the entire bag, which you have sealed as tightly as possible, into the container.
