Our Ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables are added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring that your dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for your dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in your dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Tibetan Terrier specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Tibetan Terrier. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Tibetan Terrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Tibetan Terrier.

Echinacea

Echinacea comes from the Asteraceae plant family, which is naturally native to eastern North America. Medicinal properties are attributed to a number of plants from this family. For example, the plant is associated with strengthening the immune system and respiratory infections.

Research has shown that echinacea can have an anti-inflammatory effect in dogs. Blood tests have also shown that it has a positive effect on the health and resistance of dogs. For example, it can reduce cold symptoms such as a runny nose and coughing.

At Yourdog, we add echinacea to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to strengthening the dog's resistance and contribute to overall health.

Calendula

Calendula (marigold) is a plant that, like goldenrod, belongs to the composite family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; it has been used for its diverse medicinal properties for many years. The original calendula species probably originated in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is now rarely found in the wild. Calendula is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.

There is a lot of information available about the positive effects of calendula. Calendula can be added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes, and feet. It is especially good for skin and mucous membrane recovery, has an anti-inflammatory effect, and has a regenerating effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestion process.

Calendula is primarily used as an external care product for scratches or skin problems, among other things. But it can also be used internally because of its regenerating properties.

Raspberries

The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberry cultivation dates back to the Middle Ages and occurs naturally throughout Europe.

Raspberries contain many substances that can support dog health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.

Raspberry is added to our dog food because of its anti-inflammatory properties and its potential positive contribution to the immune system. Raspberries can also help maintain vision and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can, at your discretion, start feeding 100% Yourdog Tibetan Terrier dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you close as tightly as possible.
