Our ingredients
For our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables are added to our food. Not only are vegetables nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.
Fruits
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring that the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, its breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific ailments can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Sabueso español specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Sabueso español. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Sabueso español belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Sabueso español.
Fennel
Fennel is a plant from the carrot family and can be recognised by its anise flavour. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as an herb and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.
Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is also rich in various vitamins and minerals. For example, it contains a lot of vitamin A and C, and the minerals iron and potassium.
Fennel can be added to our dog food because it can support digestion and counteract bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.
Blueberry
Blueberries belong to the heath family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the northern hemisphere. The plant has long been used in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.
Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibre for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamin C and K. They could support the immune system and contribute to the dog's overall health.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heath family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. The plant originally comes from North America and is said to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, which makes the environment in the bladder less attractive to bacteria. The addition of cranberry can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. The healthy fibres in cranberries have a healthy influence on digestion and ensure a longer feeling of fullness.
Cranberry is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to, among other things, digestion, skin, joints, bones, and nerve functions.

Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days again. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Sabueso español dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you re-seal as best as possible, into the bin.
