Our Ingredients

To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is bursting with health benefits.

Poultry

Nettle

Nettle is a genus of plants, with common nettle and small nettle found in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its purifying and blood-cleansing effect. At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as preventing digestive and/or urinary problems.

Tomato

The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

At Yourdog, we use tomato on a culinary level, considering tomato as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content, which contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. In addition to giving tomatoes their red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases, among other things. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Tomato is added to our dog food because it could positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, eyesight, and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.

Plums

The plum is a tree fruit from the rose family and falls into the category of stone fruits. Plum trees are known for their beautiful blossoms in spring, and the sweet, juicy fruit was already eaten in early Roman times.

Plums contain numerous healthy nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Plums are rich in vitamins A, B6, B12, C, and D, and the minerals potassium, magnesium, and iron. In addition, plums are low in calories and are known for their laxative effect.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Yourdog Russian Toy dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Russian Toy is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Russian Toy older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Russian Toy Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days again. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Russian Toy dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, into the bin.
