Our Ingredients
To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, ensuring that dogs receive all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced through the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Podenco Ibicenco Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Podenco Ibicenco. We have also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Podenco Ibicenco belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Podenco Ibicenco.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek, like the pea, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called foenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.
Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (a natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.
Fenugreek can be added to our food to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of adding fenugreek, and it supports healthy digestion.
Calendula
Calendula (marigold) is a plant that, like goldenrod, belongs to the daisy family. Calendula is a cultivated flower; it has been used for its various medicinal properties for centuries. The original calendula species probably grew in Asia and Eastern Europe, but this field marigold is now rarely found in the wild. Calendula is also an edible plant for humans and is rich in nutrients.
There is much information available about the positive effects of calendula. Calendula can be added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the skin, mouth, throat, digestion, eyes, and feet. It is especially good for skin and mucous membrane recovery, has anti-inflammatory properties, and has a regenerating effect. It can also prevent cramps during the digestion process.
Calendula is primarily used as an external care product for scratches or skin problems, among other things. But it can also be used internally because of its regenerating properties.
Apple
The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the well-known eating apples, common especially in the Northern Hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.
Dietary fibers have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They can absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the function of the intestines but also ensures a thorough removal of waste products.
Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.
Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the early years.

Feeding Advice
| Body Weight (kg) | Daily Amount (g) |
| 10 - 20 | 190 - 315 |
| 20 - 40 | 315 - 525 |
| 40 - 60 | 525 - 750 |
Transition Advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Podenco Ibicenco dog food.
Storage Advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loose into the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you seal as best as possible.
