Our Ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Norwegian Lundehund. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Norwegian Lundehund belongs. Chicory

Tomato

The tomato is part of the nightshade family and originates from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

At Yourdog, we use tomatoes at a culinary level, considering them as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, offer protection against cancer and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Tomato is added to our dog food because it could positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant from the heather family. In the Netherlands, this plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the country. Originally from North America, it is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C, and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, which makes the bladder environment less attractive for bacteria. Adding cranberry can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. The healthy fibers in cranberries have a positive effect on digestion and provide a longer feeling of fullness.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Norwegian Lundehund dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Norwegian Lundehund is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Norwegian Lundehund older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Norwegian Lundehund Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your Norwegian Lundehund doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Norwegian Lundehund dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you re-seal as tightly as possible, into the bin.
