Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry contribute to good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide the dog with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables are added to our food. Not only are vegetables nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, providing the dog with all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, contribute to fresh breath, or maintain healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and seaweeds, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Griffon korthals-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruit

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Griffon korthals. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Griffon korthals belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Griffon korthals.

Fenugreek

Fenugreek, like peas, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called foenegreek or 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponin and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our food to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of adding fenugreek, and it supports healthy digestion.

Chondroitin

Chondroitin occurs naturally in the dog's body and is one of the main components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin can attract and retain moisture, which should provide a sponge-like cushioning in the cartilage.

Chondroitin improves the flexibility of cartilage and also has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, it stimulates the production of building blocks for healthy cartilage.

If chondroitin is given in combination with glucosamine, it supports and enhances the effect of glucosamine. It is therefore often given as a dietary supplement for people and animals suffering from osteoarthritis.

Blueberry

Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibres for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamins C and K. They could support the immune system and contribute to the dog's overall health.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Griffon korthals dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Griffon korthals is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Griffon korthals older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Griffon korthals senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

Palatability Guarantee

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That's why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packages. If your Griffon korthals doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyse the problems. Feeding advice

Body weight (kg) Daily amount (g)
10 - 20 190 - 315
20 - 40 315 - 525
40 - 60 525 - 750

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then feed 100% Yourdog Griffon korthals dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loose into the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you seal as well as possible.
