Our Ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is bursting with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Griffon Belge Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Griffon belge. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Griffon belge belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Griffon belge.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the commonly known edible apples grow, especially in the northern hemisphere. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fibers have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates intestinal function but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the early years.

Celery

Celery is a plant from the parsley family. The plant is often found along the coast on wet soil.

Celery is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, but also contains a lot of folic acid and potassium. In addition, celery is fat-free, rich in fiber, and very low in calories.

We add celery to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting the dog's immune system and digestion. It can also have a positive influence on the skin and coat, the functioning of muscles and nerves through vitamin A, and maintaining strong bones through vitamin K.

Cranberry

The cranberry is a plant of the heather family. This plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands in the Netherlands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. Originally from North America, it is said to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.

Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, which makes the environment in the bladder less attractive for bacteria. The addition of cranberry can also have a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect. Puppy, Adult or Senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Griffon belge dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Griffon belge is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Griffon belge older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Griffon belge Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

If your Griffon belge does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of your purchase amount.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Griffon belge dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you close as tightly as possible.
