Our ingredients
To produce our feed, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol, fat, and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our feed. Thus, vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruits
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, providing your dog with all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruits can be good for your dog's immune system, and can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and seaweeds dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific complaints can be alleviated by the use of herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
German Spitz specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the German Spitz. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the German Spitz belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the German Spitz.
Fenugreek
Fenugreek, like the pea, is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also known as foenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originated in Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.
Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.
Fenugreek can be added to our feed to prevent arthritis, asthma, and skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of fenugreek and it supports healthy digestion.
Apple
The apple tree as we know it today, or the orange apple, is the result of many years of cross-breeding. The first white apples originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.
Dietary fibers have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates bowel function but also ensures thorough removal of waste products.
Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble and apples are low in calories.
Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures muscle and bone development during the early years.
Carrot
The carrot as we know it today, or the orange carrot, is the result of many years of cross-breeding. The first white carrots originally came from Iran and were brought to the Netherlands by the VOC in the 17th century.
Carrots are an important source of vitamins and fiber. For example, carrots contain retinol (vitamin A1) and beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in the body. This is important for the development of capillaries and the health of all cells. The fibers in a carrot contribute to the dog's digestion. In addition, carrots are low in calories and good for coat and skin.
At Yourdog, we add carrot to the dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat and skin. But also to promote good vision and healthy digestion.

Feeding advice
| Body weight (kg) | Daily amount (g) |
| 10 - 20 | 190 - 315 |
| 20 - 40 | 315 - 525 |
| 40 - 60 | 525 - 750 |
Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely on Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can feed 100% Yourdog German Spitz dog food at your own discretion.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, in the bin.
