Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so that it can be processed better into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is bursting with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle building and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Thus, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, ensuring the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, originated thousands of years ago. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers and plants.

Cesky fousek specific vegetables, herbs and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Cesky fousek. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Cesky fousek belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Cesky fousek.

Fenugreek

Like peas, fenugreek is a plant from the legume family. The plant is also called foenugreek or 'Greek hay'. It originally comes from Mesopotamia and was already known in the Mediterranean region in ancient times. Today, fenugreek is also cultivated in Central Asia.

Fenugreek is rich in iron and copper. Fenugreek contains saponins and coumarins, which can help with vein problems. Furthermore, it has anti-inflammatory properties (natural anti-inflammatory) and promotes bile production.

Fenugreek can be added to our food to prevent arthritis, asthma, skin problems. The stomach and intestines also benefit from the positive effects of adding fenugreek and it supports healthy digestion.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that bananas may have been cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word 'banaana' from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C and B11 (folic acid) and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen immunity. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, while magnesium can help relax muscles and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain many good fibres and increase beneficial bacteria in the gut.

Blueberry

Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the northern hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibres for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamin C and K. They could support the immune system and contribute to the overall health of the dog.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Cesky fousek dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Cesky fousek is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Cesky fousek older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Cesky fousek senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That is why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Cesky fousek doesn't seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyse the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.

Feeding advice

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Cesky fousek dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you then close as tightly as possible.
