Our Ingredients

For our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Bracco italiano. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Bracco italiano belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Bracco italiano.

Chondroitin

Chondroitin occurs naturally in a dog's body and is one of the most important components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin is able to attract and retain moisture, which should provide sponge-like cushioning in the cartilage.

Tomato

The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.

At Yourdog, we use tomatoes at a culinary level, considering them as a vegetable.

Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories, and have a high soluble fiber content that contributes to digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red color. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. Besides giving a tomato its red color, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can, among other things, protect against cancer and help with cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.

Tomato is added to our dog food because it could positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision, and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.

Blueberry

Blueberries belong to the heath family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the Northern Hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibers for digestion and are rich in vitamins C and K. They could support the immune system and contribute to the overall health of the dog.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Bracco italiano dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Bracco italiano is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Bracco italiano older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Bracco italiano Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days as well. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can start feeding 100% Yourdog Bracco italiano dog food at your discretion.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or barrel in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the barrel, but to place the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, into the barrel.
