Our Ingredients

Buffalo

Poultry

American Staffordshire Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the American Staffordshire. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the American Staffordshire belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the American Staffordshire.

Thyme

Thyme is a genus from the mint family. It includes herbaceous or woody plants with a very aromatic scent. Thyme was used by the Greeks and Romans as a medicinal herb for lung diseases, rheumatism, paralysis, stomach cramps, tumors, headaches, colic, and nervous weaknesses.

The medicinal properties of thyme are confirmed by the high values of vitamin K it contains. Additionally, thyme also contains a lot of iron, as well as the minerals calcium and manganese. It also contains the amino acid tryptophan and a significant amount of fiber.

Thyme is anti-inflammatory and has powerful antibacterial and antifungal properties. In addition, it stimulates the production of white blood cells and strengthens the immune system. Thyme is rich in antioxidants and effectively combats free radicals.

Puppy, Adult, or Senior?

To help you make the right choice among our American Staffordshire dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your American Staffordshire is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For an American Staffordshire older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog American Staffordshire senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

If your American Staffordshire doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of your purchase amount.

Feeding Advice

Transition Advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog American Staffordshire dog food.

Storage Advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the container, but to place the entire bag, which you should seal as tightly as possible, into the container.
