The Easy Walk harness is designed to gently discourage your dog from pulling while on a leash. It's so simple – easy to adjust, easy to use. Little time is needed to get used to it and no special techniques are required.
Unlike traditional harnesses, the Easy Walk harness does not cause coughing, gagging, or choking because the chest strap rests low across the sternum and not on the sensitive windpipe area.
Traditional harnesses even encourage dogs to pull harder due to the "opposition reflex." This is the reflex that causes sled dogs to pull against pressure to move the sled.
The unique front leash attachment on the Easy Walk harness stops pulling by steering the dog to the side and redirecting its attention to you. The patented D-ring chest loop provides extra leverage for easy, relaxed control and prevents the harness from twisting and hanging loose.
It is not recommended to use the Easy Walk harness with a retractable leash. With such a leash, the dog is "rewarded" with more walking room when it pulls. The goal is to teach the dog NOT to pull. Moreover, a retractable leash will always exert a slight, constant pressure, teaching your dog that it is okay to keep pulling.
The harness comes with a 1.8-meter leash.
