Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is brimming with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together create a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, providing your dog with all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for your dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Welsh Springer Spaniel specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Welsh Springer Spaniel. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Welsh Springer Spaniel belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Welsh Springer Spaniel.

Chondroitin

Chondroitin occurs naturally in the dog's body and is one of the main components of cartilage tissue. In dogs, chondroitin is able to attract and retain moisture, which should provide sponge-like cushioning in the cartilage.

Chondroitin improves the flexibility of cartilage and also has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. In addition, it stimulates the production of building blocks for healthy cartilage.

If chondroitin is given in combination with glucosamine, it supports and strengthens the effect of glucosamine. It is therefore often given as a dietary supplement for people and animals suffering from osteoarthritis.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the hand apples commonly known, especially in the northern hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fibers have a versatile effect on the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the function of the intestines but also ensures a thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble and apples are low in calories.

Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the young years.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical regions where the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that the banana may have been cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word 'banana' from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid), and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen immunity. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, magnesium can help relax muscles and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain many good fibers and ensure more good bacteria in the intestines.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Welsh Springer Spaniel dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. Then mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can feed 100% Yourdog Welsh Springer Spaniel dog food as you see fit.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage box or container in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the container, but to place the entire bag, which you close as tightly as possible, into the container.
