Our ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is bursting with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
>
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, ensuring dogs receive all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for a dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Schnauzer-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Schnauzer. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Schnauzer belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Schnauzer.
Basil
Basil is a genus from the mint family. The name comes from ancient Greek, where 'basileus' means king, so its alternative name is "king's herb". It originally comes from between Central Africa and Southeast Asia.
>
According to traditional medicine, basil was used as a treatment for conditions such as arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart disease, and abdominal pain. Research has shown that basil can have strong antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, help eliminate waste products, and may have antispasmodic and calming effects on dogs.
Mango
Mango belongs to the genus Mangifera and likely originated in northeastern India and Southeast Asia. It is a stone fruit with varying shapes and grows on a tree that can reach a height of 40 meters.
This delicious summer treat is packed with essential vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamins A, B6, C, and E, and is rich in potassium, beta-carotene, and alpha-carotene. Furthermore, mango contains many healthy dietary fibers that contribute to strengthening the immune system and digestion. The natural antioxidant (vitamin C) contributes to the support of vital bodily functions. Vitamin A is full of beta-carotene, which can help maintain and improve eyesight.
We add mango to our dog food because it can positively contribute to supporting the dog's immunity and healthy digestion. In addition, mango can support the dog's eyesight.
Apple
The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the common hand apples, especially known in the northern hemisphere, grow. The apple grows in temperate regions.
Dietary fibers have versatile effects in the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, making the stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates intestinal function but also ensures thorough elimination of waste products.
Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fibers. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that contributes to supporting healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.

Transition Advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then feed 100% Yourdog Schnauzer dog food.
Storage Advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight container or drum in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the drum, but to place the entire bag, which you seal as well as possible, into the drum.
