Our Ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range, grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide your dog with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables have been added to our food. Thus, vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, contribute to digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring your dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for your dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Petit bleu de gascogne specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Petit bleu de gascogne. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Petit bleu de gascogne belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Petit bleu de gascogne.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a genus from the daisy family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name Chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning "earth apple" and refers to its apple scent. Chamomile has an excellent reputation in natural medicine.
Chamomile can be added to Yourdog dog food because it could positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammations, and urinary tract.
Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with "nervous digestion" as it can have antispasmodic and antiseptic properties.
Fennel
Fennel is a plant from the carrot family and can be recognized by its anise flavour. The thread-like branches of the leaves are often used as a herb, and the seeds as a spice. These seeds have been known for their medicinal properties for centuries.
Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamin A and C and the minerals iron and potassium.
Fennel can be added to our dog food because it can support digestion and counteract bloating in the stomach and intestines. It can contribute to a healthy cardiovascular system and can have a positive effect on joint problems. Fennel is also said to promote fresh breath.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heath family. This plant is mainly found on the Wadden Islands in the Netherlands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. Originally from North America, it is believed to have arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique blend of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures a healthy level of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C makes the urine more acidic, which makes the environment in the bladder less attractive for bacteria. The addition of cranberry can also have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. The healthy fibres in cranberries have a healthy effect on digestion and provide a longer feeling of fullness.
Cranberry is added to our dog food because it could positively contribute to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, joints, bones, and nerve functions, among others.

Transition Advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After this, you can, at your discretion, start feeding 100% Yourdog Petit bleu de gascogne dog food.
Storage Advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you then close as well as possible, into the bin.
