Our Ingredients
To produce our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey which together create a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry contribute to good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables are added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also possess other healthy properties. The raw fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can, among other things, aid digestion.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruit to Yourdog, ensuring dogs receive all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for a dog's immune system, contribute to fresh breath, or maintain healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in a dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific issues can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Luzerner Laufhund Specific Vegetables, Herbs, and Fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Luzerner Laufhund. We also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and FCI breed group to which the Luzerner Laufhund belongs. From this research, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients were selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Luzerner Laufhund.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a genus in the daisy family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name Chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning 'ground apple' and refers to its apple-like scent. Chamomile has an excellent reputation in natural medicine.
Chamomile can be added to Yourdog dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation, and urinary tract.
Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with a 'nervous digestion' as it can have antispasmodic and antiseptic properties.
Basil
Basil is a genus in the mint family. The name comes from Ancient Greek, where 'basileus' means king, hence the alternative name 'king's herb'. It is originally found between central Africa and Southeast Asia.
According to traditional medicine, basil was used as a treatment for, among other things, arthritis, bronchitis, colds, stomach ulcers, heart diseases, and abdominal pain. Research has shown that basil can have strong antioxidant, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties. In addition, basil can promote digestion, help eliminate waste products, and can have antispasmodic and calming effects on dogs.
Cranberry
The cranberry is a plant from the heath family. This plant is mainly found in the Netherlands on the Wadden Islands and is very rare in the rest of the Netherlands. Originally, the plant came from North America and is believed to have first arrived in the Netherlands around 1845.
Cranberries contain a unique mix of nutrients that can provide a powerful health boost to dogs. The berries are, among other things, rich in minerals such as potassium, which ensures healthy levels of vital fluids in the body. These berries are also packed with vitamins A, B, and C and antioxidants to support the immune system. Vitamin C acidifies the urine, making the bladder environment less attractive for bacteria. Adding cranberry can also have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. The healthy fibers in cranberries have a positive effect on digestion and provide a longer feeling of fullness.
Cranberry is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to, among other things, digestion, skin, joints, bones, and nerve functions.

Feeding Advice
| Body Weight (kg) | Daily Amount (g) |
| 10 - 20 | 190 - 315 |
| 20 - 40 | 315 - 525 |
| 40 - 60 | 525 - 750 |
Transition Advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days again. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Luzerner Laufhund dog food.
Storage Advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you seal as well as possible, into the bin.
