Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so it can be better processed into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-roaming and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and it's packed with vitamins and minerals. With a lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma for the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or breed group, certain ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Kromfohrländer specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Kromfohrländer. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Kromfohrländer belongs. Based on these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Kromfohrländer.

Fennel

Like many herbs and seeds, fennel is rich in various vitamins and minerals. It contains a lot of vitamin A and C, and the minerals iron and potassium.

Yucca

This plant grows in the deserts of Southwest America and North Mexico. The roots of the yucca have been used for centuries by the Indians in these areas as medicine for rheumatism and arthritis. It inhibits pain and inflammation in the joints.

Yucca can be added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to rheumatism, arthritis, osteoarthritis, the intestines, and the heart. Yucca can also reduce the odor of feces and help with smelly flatulence.

Apple

The apple tree is a tree of the genus Malus, on which the well-known hand apples grow, especially in the northern hemisphere. The apple grows in temperate regions.

Dietary fibers have a versatile effect on the digestive tract. They are able to absorb moisture, which makes the stool soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates the function of the intestines but also ensures a thorough removal of waste products.

Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. In addition, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that helps support healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble and apples are low in calories.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Kromfohrländer dog food varieties, you can use the following guidelines. If your Kromfohrländer is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variety. For a Kromfohrländer older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Kromfohrländer senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variety.

If your Kromfohrländer doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we can't find a solution together, we will refund your purchase price.

Feeding advice

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for two or three days as well. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then feed 100% Yourdog Kromfohrländer dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to pour the food loosely into the container, but to place the entire bag, which you close as well as possible, into the container.
