Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffaloes. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables are added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring that your dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, but it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed, or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

German Jagdterrier-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the German Jagdterrier. We also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the German Jagdterrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the German Jagdterrier.

Nettle

Nettle is a genus of plants, with the common nettle and the small nettle occurring in the Netherlands and Belgium. Nettle is known for its cleansing and blood-purifying properties. According to various sources, nettle is bactericidal and therefore very suitable for infectious diseases. The leaves are also suitable for diarrhea or other digestive disorders.

Nettle supports the function of the liver and kidneys by stimulating the breakdown of waste products. In addition, it supports the bladder and hair growth of the dog.

Nettle also contains silicic acid, or silicon. This is a building block that is part of connective tissue in bones, tendons, ligaments, skin, hair, and nails, among other things. Silicon supports the natural production of skin (cells) and helps maintain healthy skin.

At Yourdog, we add nettle to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the dog's coat, skin, and bones, as well as preventing digestive and/or urination problems.

Banana

The banana plant grows in tropical areas where the temperature does not drop below 10 degrees Celsius. There is even evidence that bananas were cultivated in New Guinea about 7,000 years ago. The name is derived from the word 'banana' from the language of the Wolof people.

Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals, including vitamins A, C, and B11 (folic acid) and the minerals potassium, magnesium, iron, and zinc. The natural antioxidant, vitamin C, can strengthen immunity. Vitamin B11, or folic acid, can support the immune system and contribute to a well-functioning nervous system. It can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases. Potassium can also help lower blood pressure in dogs with high blood pressure, and magnesium can contribute to muscle relaxation and promote bone growth. In addition, bananas contain many good fibers and promote more good bacteria in the intestines.

Raspberries

The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberry cultivation dates back to the Middle Ages and is native to all of Europe.

Raspberries contain many substances that can support the dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fibers.

Raspberry is added to our dog food because of its anti-inflammatory properties and it can make a positive contribution to the functioning of the immune system. Raspberries can also help maintain vision and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our German Jagdterrier dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your German Jagdterrier is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a German Jagdterrier older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog German Jagdterrier Senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

If your German Jagdterrier does not seem to like its Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyze the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, you will receive a refund of your purchase amount.

Feeding advice

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. After your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog German Jagdterrier dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you close as tightly as possible.
