Our ingredients
To make our food, for a 12 kg bag, 10.6 kg of meat is dried so that it can be better processed into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruit and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for dogs.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is bursting with health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken and turkey which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in the poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super healthy vegetables are added to our food. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our food come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, the breed or the breed group, ingredients are given extra attention. Breed-specific complaints can be alleviated by the use of herbs, roots, flowers and plants.
Dandie Dinmont Terrier specific vegetables, herbs and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Dandie Dinmont Terrier. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Dandie Dinmont Terrier belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Dandie Dinmont Terrier.
Chamomile
Chamomile is a genus of the daisy family. Chamomile is widely cultivated in Hungary and Eastern Europe. It also grows wild throughout Europe. The name Chamomile comes from a Greek word meaning 'ground apple' and refers to its apple-like scent. Chamomile has an excellent reputation in natural medicine.
Chamomile can be added to Yourdog dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammations and urinary tract.
Chamomile can have a mild soothing effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with 'nervous digestion'. It can have antispasmodic and antiseptic effects.
Parsley
Parsley is a biennial, hardy, herbaceous plant from the carrot family. Parsley has been used as a medicinal herb for hundreds of years. There are dozens of diseases that parsley combats. According to various sources, it cures, among other things, diarrhoea, anaemia and ear infections. It is full of iron, more than spinach, for example. Parsley also contains other minerals such as silicon, as well as vitamins B and C and carotene.
At Yourdog, we add parsley to dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to blood, heart and kidneys.
Parsley is a natural source of vitamins C, A and K. This can contribute to the immune system and eyes, and can support the cardiovascular system and liver. Parsley also has anti-inflammatory properties and can have a diuretic effect, keeping the dog's bladder free of contamination.
Tomato
The tomato is part of the nightshade family and comes from the tomato plant, originally from Mesoamerica. Small varieties were cultivated in Mesoamerica by the Aztecs and Mayans. In 1893, it was decided in America that the fruit should be considered a vegetable.
At Yourdog, we use tomato on a culinary level, considering tomato as a vegetable.
Tomatoes are rich in nutrients, low in calories and have a high soluble fibre content which aids digestion. Tomatoes also contain lycopene, which gives them their red colour. The redder a tomato is, the more lycopene it contains. In addition to giving a tomato its red colour, it is also known as a powerful antioxidant. Research has shown that lycopene can protect against cancer, among other things, and can help with cardiovascular diseases. In addition, tomatoes contain a lot of vitamin C and vitamin A and B complexes, which can contribute to healthy skin and an improved immune system.
Tomato is added to our dog food because it could make a positive contribution to preventing breed-specific complaints related to digestion, skin, vision and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, it can have a general purifying effect on the body.

Feeding advice
| Body weight (kg) | Daily amount (g) |
| 1 - 5 | 35 - 115 |
| 5 - 10 | 115 - 190 |
| 10 - 20 | 190 - 315 |
Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another food brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this again for two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Dandie Dinmont Terrier dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you seal as well as possible, into the bin.
