Our ingredients
To produce our feed, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.
Buffalo
At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content, and fewer calories, this tender meat is full of health benefits.
Poultry
At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.
Vegetables
To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables are added to our feed. Vegetables are not only nutritious but also have other healthy properties. The crude fiber in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.
Fruit
We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, providing your dog with all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for your dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote your dog's health.
Herbs
The healthy herbs that enrich our feed come from plants from Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among others, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in your dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the size of the dog, its breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific ailments can be alleviated by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.
Chien français tricolore specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits
We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Chien français tricolore. We also investigated the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Chien français tricolore belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Chien français tricolore.
Glucosamine
Glucosamine is an endogenous substance found in joints, cartilage, joint fluid, and tendons. Glucosamine stimulates the production of cartilage and keeps joints supple.
Glucosamine is one of the most commonly used supplements for dogs with osteoarthritis and/or joint problems. This is not only the case for older dogs, or (overweight) dogs, but increasingly also for younger, very active dogs. For example, due to a hereditary predisposition to joint problems. For these and other reasons, glucosamine is added to our dog food.
Plums
The plum is a tree fruit from the rose family and falls under the category of stone fruits. Plum trees are known for their beautiful blossoms in spring, and the sweet, juicy fruit was eaten as early as Roman times.
Plums contain numerous healthy nutrients, antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Plums are rich in vitamins A, B6, B12, C, and D, and the minerals potassium, magnesium, and iron. Additionally, plums are low in calories and known for their laxative effect.
Apple
The apple tree is a tree from the genus Malus, on which the commonly known dessert apples, especially in the northern hemisphere, grow. Apples grow in temperate regions.
Dietary fibers have a versatile effect in the digestive tract. They can absorb moisture, making stools soft and smooth. Dietary fibers also increase the volume in the intestines. This not only stimulates intestinal function but also ensures a thorough removal of waste products.
Apples are packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. Additionally, apples are rich in pectin. Pectin is a soluble fiber that contributes to supporting a healthy gut flora. It also contributes to the palatability of the kibble, and apples are low in calories.
Rich in vitamins A and C. Vitamin A is good for the skin and coat and strengthens the immune system. Vitamin C ensures the development of muscle and bone during the early years.

Transition advice
If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely transitioned to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Chien français tricolore dog food.
Storage advice
After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it in the bin with the entire bag, which you have sealed as tightly as possible.
