Our ingredients

To make our food, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, so it can be better processed into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste, rich color, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is bursting with health benefits.

Poultry

Chamomile

Chamomile can be added to Yourdog dog food because it could contribute positively to preventing breed-specific complaints related to the stomach, intestines, skin, rheumatism, nerves, inflammation, and urinary tract.

Chamomile can have a mild calming effect on dogs and could therefore be used for dogs that often experience stress. In addition, it can have a positive effect on dogs with a 'nervous digestion'. It can have antispasmodic and antiseptic properties.

Parsley

Parsley is a biennial, hardy, herbaceous plant from the carrot family. Parsley has been used as a medicinal herb for hundreds of years. There are dozens of diseases that parsley combats. According to various sources, it cures diarrhea, anemia, and ear infections, among other things. It is full of iron, more than spinach, for example. Parsley also contains other minerals such as silicon, as well as vitamins B and C and carotene.

At Yourdog, we add parsley to dog food because it could contribute positively to preventing breed-specific complaints related to blood, heart, and kidneys.

Parsley is a natural source of vitamins C, A, and K. This can contribute to the immune system and eyes, and can support the cardiovascular system and liver. Parsley also has anti-inflammatory properties and can have a diuretic effect, which keeps the dog's bladder free from contamination.

Raspberries

The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. The cultivation of raspberries dates back to the Middle Ages and occurs naturally throughout Europe.

Raspberries contain many substances that can support a dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fiber.

Puppy, adult or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Ca de bou dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Ca de bou is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Ca de bou older than 7 years, we recommend the Yourdog Ca de bou senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Feeding advice

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another brand of food, we recommend following these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important that you let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. At your own discretion, you can then start feeding 100% Yourdog Ca de bou dog food.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog package, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place it with the entire bag, which you seal as tightly as possible, into the bin.
