Our Ingredients

To produce our feed, 10.6 kg of meat is dried for a 12 kg bag, making it easier to process into our kibble. With the right amount of vegetables, fruits, and herbs, Yourdog is a healthy, nutritious choice for your dog.

Buffalo

At Yourdog, we use meat from free-range and grass-fed buffalo. Buffalo meat is known for its creamy, fresh taste and rich colour, and is packed with vitamins and minerals. With lower cholesterol and fat content and fewer calories, this tender meat is brimming with health benefits.

Poultry

At Yourdog, we use duck, chicken, and turkey, which together provide a delicious taste and aroma to the kibble. The highly digestible proteins in poultry ensure good muscle development and are rich in vitamins and minerals.

Vegetables

To provide dogs with extra valuable nutrients, super-healthy vegetables are added to our feed. Vegetables are not only nutritious, but they also have other healthy properties. The crude fibre in vegetables is good for the intestines and can contribute to digestion, among other things.

Fruit

We add a unique combination of fruits to Yourdog, ensuring the dog receives all essential, natural antioxidants. Fruit can be good for the dog's immune system, and it can also contribute to fresh breath or maintaining healthy digestion. These natural ingredients promote the dog's health.

Herbs

The healthy herbs that enrich our feed come from plants in Europe. The use of herbs, roots, flowers, plants, and algae, among other things, dates back thousands of years. These ingredients support the natural processes in the dog's body, such as digestion. Every ingredient we add to our dog food is carefully selected for its positive properties. Depending on the dog's size, breed, or breed group, certain ingredients are highlighted. Breed-specific complaints can be reduced by using herbs, roots, flowers, and plants.

Broholmer-specific vegetables, herbs, and fruits

We have carefully researched the breed characteristics of the Broholmer. We have also researched the characteristics of the FCI breed section and the FCI breed group to which the Broholmer belongs. From these studies, in consultation with leading Dutch nutritionists, ingredients have been selected that optimally benefit the health and well-being of the Broholmer.

Raspberries

The raspberry is a plant from the rose family and belongs to the genus Rubus. Raspberry cultivation dates back to the Middle Ages and is naturally found throughout Europe.

Raspberries contain many substances that can support the dog's health, such as vitamins like vitamin C, minerals like manganese, and antioxidants. Furthermore, raspberries are low in sugar and calories and rich in good fibres.

Raspberry is added to our dog food because of its anti-inflammatory properties and it can make a positive contribution to the functioning of the immune system. Raspberries can also contribute to maintaining eyesight and a healthy cardiovascular system.

Celery

Celery is a plant from the parsley family. The plant is often found along the coast in wet soil.

Celery is rich in vitamins A, C, and K, and also contains a lot of folic acid and potassium. In addition, celery is fat-free, rich in fibre, and very low in calories.

We add celery to our dog food because it can make a positive contribution to supporting the dog's immune system and digestion. It can also have a positive effect on the skin and coat, the functioning of muscles and nerves due to vitamin A, and maintaining strong bones due to vitamin K.

Blueberries

Blueberries belong to the heather family of plants and grow mainly in open forests in the northern hemisphere. The plant has been used for a long time in traditional European medicine and is known for its positive effects on gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes.

Blueberries can be added to our dog food because they are rich in antioxidants, which protect the body against free radicals. In addition, they contain good fibres for digestion and the berries are rich in vitamin C and K. They could support the immune system and contribute to the dog's overall health.

Puppy, adult, or senior?

To help you make the right choice between our Broholmer dog food variants, you can use the following guidelines. If your Broholmer is younger than 11 months, choose the Puppy variant. For a Broholmer older than 7 years, we recommend Yourdog Broholmer senior. If your dog is older than 11 months and younger than 7 years, you can choose the Adult variant.

Palatability Guarantee

We are convinced of the quality of our food. That is why we offer a palatability guarantee on all Yourdog packaging. If your Broholmer doesn't seem to like their Yourdog dog food, please contact us. We will help you analyse the problems. If we cannot resolve it together, we will refund your purchase price.

Feeding advice

Transition advice

If you are switching to Yourdog from another feed brand, we advise you to follow these steps. For the first step, feed 25% Yourdog and 75% of the old dog food. The dog can get used to this for two days. Then, feed 50% Yourdog and 50% of the old dog food. It is important to let the dog get used to this for another two or three days. After that, mix 75% Yourdog and 25% of the old dog food. The dog is now almost completely switched to Yourdog. Do this for 2 days. You can then feed 100% Yourdog Broholmer dog food at your own discretion.

Storage advice

After opening the Yourdog packaging, the food is exposed to oxygen, moisture, and light, which can affect its shelf life and taste. Therefore, it is important to store the food properly after opening the bag, preferably in an airtight storage container or bin in a dry, cool, and dark place. It is best not to put the food loosely in the bin, but to place the entire bag, which you seal as tightly as possible, into the bin.
