The tireless Labrador Retriever has boundless energy. They love swimming and long walks with their owners. Perfect insulation
Thick, dense, short hair with a dense undercoat: the Labrador Retriever's coat is waterproof and protects them from scratches and cold. The sebaceous glands secrete large amounts of sebum, so that water glides off their coat, like on a duck's feathers.

Appetite management
Labradors naturally have more body fat than most other dogs. This is not surprising, as we know that their ancestors swam in the cold Atlantic Ocean.
