Properties per ingredient: Cranberry (Large Cranberry) is a very tart berry. It was long assumed that the acidity of this berry created an unfavorable environment for bacteria in the bladder. However, research has shown that this action is based on a different mechanism. It is primarily the red pigments, proanthocyanidins, from cranberries that prevent bacteria from adhering to the bladder wall. This prevents bacteria from multiplying: they are expelled before they can cause problems. The degree of concentration is very important with cranberry. Many cranberry-based supplements contain some of the berry, but not enough to have a powerful effect. This is why cranberry complete opted for a 1:25 ratio, meaning that one kilogram of extract was obtained from 25 kg of cranberries, which is very concentrated.
Vitamin C (as L-Ascorbic Acid) acidifies the urine and makes the environment for bacteria in the bladder even more unattractive.
